4 easy steps to a perfect base

If you find that you don’t have a lot of time in the morning then try these steps next time you’re heading out for a flawless finish:

 1. Apply skin primer with foundation brush or clean fingers to entire face, this will help your foundation go on smoother and last longer.

2. Smoothe on foundation with a foundation brush starting from your forehead and working your way down your face. If you find you are getting brush lines, shorten your strokes. Ensure you blend into your neck to prevent getting a “line” under your jaw.

3. Apply concealer under your eyes and to blemishes with a concealer brush, use your fingers to blend into your foundation.

4. Dust entire face with translucent powder, this will set your foundation and give you a more radiant look.

I recently purchased a base set from MAC for $100 (AUD) which includes a Prep and Prime Skin foundation primer $44, Transparent Finishing Powder $42, Travel Size Cleanse Off Oil $37 and Travel Size FIX+ Finishing Spray to set $27.
It is a great idea if you want to try the products before buying them at full price.
If you are using brushes make sure you’re cleaning them at least every two weeks, this will prevent bacteria growing. Simply use your Shampoo to clean and Conditioner to keep bristles soft.

You can use the MAC fix spray either before you apply your foundation as a base or after foundation to set and give a more radiant look. It’s got lots of vitamins and minerals in it so really good for your skin!
Wash out both Shampoo and Conditioner and leave brushes on a towel to dry (usually overnight)
